Leeds United midfielder Ilia Gruev has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship ‘Player of the Month’ award, for his impressive form throughout February. 

The midfielder helped his team to four clean sheets in the month, with the Whites winning all five of their league matches in that time. 

Ilia was an ever-present in the starting XI, showing his well-timed and tough tackling, calmness, and an eye for a pass when needed, claiming an assist in the win over Swansea City. 

Also nominated alongside the Bulgarian international is Omari Hutchinson (Ipswich Town), Josh Sargent (Norwich City) and Ike Ugbo (Sheffield Wednesday). 

The winner will be announced on Friday 8th March, 2024.
