Leeds United will be keen recapture their scintillating form as they host Blackburn Rovers in Saturday’s lunchtime Sky Bet Championship clash at Elland Road.

The Whites returned to action following last month’s international break collecting four points from a possible six over the Easter weekend, rescuing a draw late on at Watford before beating Hull City in the dying minutes at home.

Those results continued the excellent unbeaten start Daniel Farke’s side were enjoying to 2024, which sadly came to an end last weekend as United fell to a narrow defeat at Coventry City’s CBS Arena.

Leeds looked to respond in their midweek clash with Sunderland at Elland Road, but despite enjoying the majority of possession and having a penalty decision not go their way, the Whites were unable to break down a resolute Black Cats defence as it finished goalless.

Whilst United haven’t necessarily picked up the results they would have liked, they still remain just one point behind both Leicester City and Ipswich Town in the race for the automatic promotion places.

Form has been incredibly hard to come by for a struggling Blackburn Rovers team, aside from a statement 5-1 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light at the beginning of the month.

A harrowing 5-0 defeat at Bristol City midweek leaves the Lancashire outfit 18th in the league's standings, with John Eustace's side just three points above Sheffield Wednesday in the relegation zone.

The teams have already met once this campaign, as the Whites ran out 2-0 winners at Ewood Park in December.

Dan James put Leeds a goal to the good with a drilled finish low across goalkeeper Leopold Wahlstedt before the break, with Crysencio Summerville then sealing the victory with a delicate chip in front of a travelling army of supporters in Blackburn.
