Daniel Farke: We have to be on it

Manager gives his thoughts on Stoke City clash.

Leeds United face Stoke City at Elland Road on Tuesday night, looking to return to winning ways in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Whites drew 1-1 at West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town on Saturday, whereas the Potters picked up a big victory at home to Middlesbrough.

Looking ahead to this encounter, Daniel Farke gave his thoughts to the media ahead of the game.

He said: “There are many bruises, many knocks and some dead legs [after the 1-1 draw against Huddersfield at the weekend].

“But yes, it’s normal. We have to adapt to this and we don't complain about this.

“This is normal life at this stage in the Championship and we have to be up for it."

The Potters are currently 22nd in the league table, but after a big win at the weekend, another three points on Tuesday could see them move as high as 16th with many teams so close on points to each other.

“I expect a tight game and a big challenge again. This stage of the season is complicated,” Farke stated.

“I think Steven [Schumacher] has also shown what he wants to have on the pitch more or less at Plymouth, pretty much a football orientated side with good processes in possession.

“Obviously due to the to their position in the league they have to play a bit more pragmatical.

“It's also a different side with different players, different individual qualities in comparison to Huddersfield.

“So we have to prepare in detail at least for different challenge but nevertheless it will also be a pretty, pretty difficult task for us.

“Each and every game at this level is difficult and we have to be on it."
