Daniel Farke: You have to be brave in an away game

Boss previews QPR clash.

Leeds United face Queens Park Rangers on Friday night, in their 45th match of the Sky Bet Championship campaign.

The Whites head to West London to face the Hoops, with both teams looking to secure three points for their respective end of season battles.

Ahead of the match, Daniel Farke gave his thoughts to the media.

“It's always important to be ourselves on the pitch,” the manager began.

“In order to do this in the crunch time period of the season, you have to be brave.

“You have to be fully convinced and then stick to your believing and for that it's important, especially against Queens Park Rangers.

“They play as a side who is perhaps not like normally a team in this position, who is fighting against relegation.

“They’re a really good possession side, also you could see that they spent lots of time on the training pitch in their build up, it’s not easy to press them.

“In order to make sure that you’re dominant, that you press them really high and you're playing in their half, you have to be brave even in an away game.

“Also to be brave to play with a complex setup in their half, so to push the players forward so you have to be brave in order to be successful, but this is what we're normally doing in each and every game.

“If there are some necessities, like for example against Middlesborough, to change this approach a bit in order to play a bit more pragmatically to grind the results out, obviously we're also capable to do this.

“But in general, normally our DNA is we like to attack games and also to be brave in this topic. It is obviously what we also want to do.”
