ALMOST 34,000 SET FOR FIRST GAME

Club set for highest opening game attendance in 10 years.

Elland Road will enjoy the highest attendance for an opening game in over a decade on Sunday afternoon - with ticket sales approaching 34,000.

Leeds United take on Stoke City, one of the teams relegated from the Premier League earlier this year, in their first fixture of the 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship season which also marks Marcelo Bielsas’ first competitive game as head coach of the club.

Excitement is building ahead of the new season which has clearly been reflected in the fantastic sales of match tickets for our first game as well as in the sales of Season Tickets, with over 19,000 to date now sold.

The game on Sunday (5 August) will kick-off at 4.30pm and there will be plenty of pre-match entertainment on offer around the stadium for supporters, with music and food and drink offers in The Centenary Pavilion, Billy’s Bar or the North East Corner Fan Zone.

There are also face painters for the junior fans in the East Stand Concourse, they will be handing out stickers as well as part of the clubs celebrations for Leeds Pride – which also takes place on Sunday afternoon.

We look forward to welcoming you all to Elland Road on Sunday and if you haven’t already, you still have the chance to buy your ticket, just click here.
