Club to remember fallen heroes ahead of Blackburn fixture

Activity ahead of kick-off to mark Remembrance Day.

Leeds United Football Club will pay its respects to fallen heroes from the armed forces at the Sky Bet Championship fixture against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon (9th November) with a special tribute ahead of kick off.

The Whites' dedicated Remembrance fixture will see the two team captains laying wreathes in the centre of the pitch as they are joined by various military personnel and standard bearers.

Following an announcement, there will be a moment of silence and a bugler will then perform The Last Post as a mark of respect to all of the service men and women that have served our country.

The club have invited guests from The Royal British Legion, our partners at the Parachute Regiment, the Yorkshire Regiment, the Royal Dragoon Guards and other branches of the military to be a part of the day.

If you would like to buy a poppy and donate to The Royal British Legion, there will be sellers located around Elland Road in the build up to the game.

A warm welcome from everyone at the club to all of our guests from the armed forces who will be in attendance tomorrow to help mark Remembrance Day.
