United squad back in training...

Training at Thorp Arch

The Leeds United squad reported back to Thorp Arch on Thursday morning for the first day of pre-season training.

Simon Grayson welcomed back his players on a searing hot day at the training ground.

Neil Kilkenny, Enoch Showunmi, and Paul Huntington all joined the squad for a running session after returning to full fitness over the summer.

Striker Jermaine Beckford was also among the troops who were put through the paces while Jason Crowe joined up with his new team-mates for the first time since arriving from Northampton.

The United boss said: "We've been looking forward to getting everyone back together again, and we planned a good work-out.

"The first day is all about loosening off and getting prepared because we have a busy schedule planned for the next week or so.

"The days of running around Roundhay Park have now gone, but there's still plenty of hard work to be done."

The players will be facing double sessions from Friday in readiness for the opening game against York City on Sunday week.
