Leeds United defender Alan Sheehan has joined Swindon Town on loan until January 4.

The Irishman has already spent two months on loan at Oldham this season - scoring once in nine games - and he will now see the year out with another League One side.

Alan will join up with two of his former Leeds team-mates at the County Ground.

Jonathan Douglas and David Lucas both joined Swindon during the summer and are regulars in Danny Wilson's side.

Alan has been given permission to play in the FA Cup.
