Striker Davide Somma has joined Lincoln City on a month's loan.

The South African born marksman will train with the League Two side for the first time on Friday and could make his debut against Crewe on Saturday.

Somma has made one substitute appearance for United this season and, having scored four goals in the reserves, manager Simon Grayson is keen for him to gain more first team experience.

He had a loan spell at Chesterfield earlier in the season, but that was cut short by injury after three appearances.

Somma links up with former England striker Chris Sutton, who is the manager at Lincoln City.
