Captain picks up Player of the Year awards...

Snodgrass EOSDUnited skipper Robert Snodgrass has been named the club's Player of the Year and the Players Player of the Year.

The Scot was presented with the prestigious awards at the annual Members End of Season Dinner on Saturday evening.

Robert won both prizes just ahead of fellow Scot Ross McCormack, who ended the campaign as the club's leading goalscorer.

Ross also featured prominently in the voting for the Goal Of The Season, for his overhead kick at Doncaster, but he was beaten to the accolade by Adam Clayton, for his volley at Leicester City last November.

The Young Player of the Year Award was another closely fought vote with Tom Lees picking up the prize, ahead of fellow Academy product Aidy White.

Aidy didn't leave empty handed though, and he received the club's annual Community Award for the work he has done off the field. Leigh Bromby also featured prominently for the Community award.

The chairman's special award went to the deserving Neil Redfearn who guided the under-18s to a second place finish in their Academy division. Neil also stepped into the first team breach following the departure of Simon Grayson and presided over wins against Bristol City and Doncaster Rovers.

A new award this year, titled the Members Award went to the Downer family from Essex, who also sponsor Ross McCormack. The Downers are home and away Season Ticket Holders, regular travellers in pre-season, and also preside over the running of the Essex Whites.
