Aidan became the most recent 16-year-old to make his debut for the club, against Crystal Palace in the Carling Cup in August 2008.

A product of the club's Academy system, the teenage left-back also won the Man of the Match award after the JPT win against Bradford City in September. Aidan made his league debut at Carlisle in September, and turned 17 at the start of October 2008.

His promising displays in the early part of last season prompted the club to offer him a new deal designed to keep him at Elland Road until 2012 and which he signed in November.

He gained England Under 19 honours when he came on as a 73rd minute substitute in a friendly game against the Czech Republic at Walsall's Banks's Stadium in March 2009.
