Aidan became the most recent 16-year-old to make his debut for the club, against Crystal Palace in the Carling Cup in August 2008, and he is another young player who has emerged from the club's Academy.
Having been schooled as youngster at Thorp Arch, Gary McAllister gave him his debut and he made a huge impression, picking up his first Man of the Match award after the JPT win against Bradford City the following month.

Aidan made his league debut at Carlisle in September, and turned 17 at the start of October 2008. His promising displays in the early part of the 2008/09 season prompted the club to offer him a new deal designed to keep him at Elland Road until 2012.
Aidy made 15 appearances during the club's promotion winning campaign before joining Oldham for an extended loan period in 2010/11. Aidy featured at both left back on the left side of midfield for the Latics and he scored four goals in 24 appearances for the club.
He returned to Leeds during the summer of 2011 and after figuring during pre-season, Aidy went on to make 39 appearances, only missing out a handful games due to an ankle injury sustained in the latter weeks of the season.

The campaign also saw Aidy gain international recognition with the Republic of Ireland under-21 side. Such was the impact he made he was among the nominations for the country's international Young Player of the Year award.
Aidy had previously gained England Under 19 honours for the first time when he came on as a 73rd minute substitute in a friendly game against the Czech Republic at Walsall's Banks's Stadium in March 2009.
Aidy signed a new three-year contract with the club at the start of the 2012/13 season.
