Leeds United face Middlesbrough away from home on Monday evening, with the match getting underway in the North East at 8pm. 

The Whites head to the Riverside Stadium looking to return to winning ways, having been without a victory in the last three matches in the Sky Bet Championship. 

Michael Carrick’s side have shown strong end of season form and are on a nine match unbeaten run which has consisted of five wins and four draws. That form has seen them move up to ninth in the league, nine points behind Norwich City in the final play-off place.

The last time the two teams met was at Elland Road in December. A thrilling first half saw five goals scored, with Joel Piroe netting a penalty to win the game 3-2, after earlier goals came from Dan James and Crysencio Summerville.

The top-scorer for Monday’s hosts is Emmanuel Latte Lath. He scored twice in West Yorkshire earlier this season and is certainly a player to watch for the United defence in this one, too. Latte Lath has scored 12 up to now. 

Top-scorer for Leeds is the recently crowned Sky Bet Championship ‘Player of the Season’, Summerville. He’s scored 18 times so far this season, of which 17 have come in the league.  

In this late stage of the Championship season, every point will count towards the final tally. If Daniel Farke’s side can pick up three of them in this encounter, they can move into the top two places.

• Supporters should be aware that the last train service leaving Middlesbrough on Monday evening will now carry on all the way to Leeds. There will not be a change at York. 
• Bloom & Club XS are the designated away pubs.
• Alcohol will be served at the stadium.
• There is likely to be a holdback at the end of the game, this should not impact supporters getting return trains back to Leeds from Middlesbrough.

Discriminatory language or chanting is not acceptable and you could be breaking the law. The club condemns this behaviour and has a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination abuse of all kinds.

Tough measures and sanctions are in place across all English football leagues to tackle dangerous and illegal behaviours within football grounds, and this involves but is not limited to, discriminatory behaviour, tragedy chanting, fans entering the pitch, the use of pyros and throwing objects.

• Everybody should feel safe at football but pitch incursions endanger everyone because at the time it is impossible to tell the difference between celebration and an attack. 
• Entering the pitch will likely also result in penalties for the Club, so do not spoil it for the team or other fans.
• From fans, to stewards to players, we all have a role to play in keeping each other safe on matchdays.
• We need to protect each other, the Club and the game.
