Sunderland: Match officials announced

Appointments made for Tuesday's fixture.

The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Sunderland have been confirmed, with Tim Robinson set to take charge at Elland Road.

Ahead of this season, Robinson was promoted to become part of 20 Select Group 1 Referees, the highest-ranking officials within the domestic game, and has appeared 21 times in the Premier League.

In the 16 Leeds matches Robinson has overseen, the Whites have picked up seven wins and three draws, starting with a 2-1 win away at Yeovil Town back in 2014, with a memorable winner from full-back Stephen Warnock.

The West Sussex-based official has refereed one game during Daniel Farke's tenure, the second match of the season which saw United edged out by Birmingham City away from home.

Sunderland have played 11 times with Robinson in the middle, with the Black Cats picking up four wins, three draws and falling to four defeats.

No stranger to the big occasion, the official also took charge of the 2022/23 League One Play-Off final between Yorkshire rivals Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday.
