Patrick Bamford has been named the first Socios Player of the Month in 2024, after 35% of Leeds fans voted for the striker in January's poll.

The Leeds striker's year couldn't have got off to a better start, scoring four goals in six games, including his strike against Peterborough, which will be forever remembered as one of the club's best ever.



It took Bamford just 34 minutes into 2024 to grab his first goal, heading Dan James' cross past a diving Neil Etheridge, during our 3-0 win over Birmingham.

Six days later, Bamford followed it up with a goal that will rival Yeboah's for greatest goal in Leeds' history. Watched and shared by millions around the world, Ethan Ampadu launched a ball upto the striker, who chested it down, spun around and fired a rocket into the Peterborough net, helping Leeds progress in the FA Cup.

Bamford would also score against Cardiff and Norwich in January, as well as assisting Ampadu for his opening goal against Peterborough.

January's Player of the Month was the closest to date, with only six votes separating the top two. Bamford garnered 35% of the votes, closely followed by Joe Rodon on 34%. Archie Gray came third with 19%, whilst Dan James closed out the voting in fourth with 12%.
