Leeds United have confirmed the signing of midfielder Glen Kamara from Rangers for an undisclosed fee

We’ve got 10 facts to help you get to know him even more, following his move to West Yorkshire:


 •    Glen was born in Tampere, Finland

•    His date of birth is 25th October 1995 and he shares the same birthday as the late artist Pablo Picasso and pop-star Katy Perry

•    Kamara was given his professional debut for Arsenal by Arsene Wenger in the EFL Cup on 27th October 2015 against Sheffield Wednesday

•    He scored his first professional goal whilst playing for Finland, in a 2-0 victory over Greece on the 15th October 2018

•    In his career so far, Kamara has played for five clubs- Arsenal, Southend United, Colchester United, Dundee and Rangers

•    Ironically he scored his first professional goal in club football whilst playing for Rangers on 27th February 2019 against his former side Dundee, having moved to Ibrox from Dens Park less than one month prior

•    On 5th May 2022 Rangers trailed 1-0 on aggregate going into the 2022 UEFA Europa League semi-final second leg against RB Leipzig at Ibrox and Kamara scored to make it 2-0 to the Gers, as part of a 3-1 victory and 3-2 aggregate score to put them into the final

•    Glen won two major honours with Rangers, the Scottish Premiership in 2020/21 with a club record 102 points and the Scottish Cup in 2022, whilst individually he was named in the PFA Scottish Premiership team of the Year in 2020/21 and named the Finnish Footballer of the Year in 2022

•    Kamara has won 52 caps for Finland, scoring two goals and featured three times for his country at UEFA Euro 2020, playing every minute they were involved

•    On the 31st August 2023, Kamara signed for Leeds United on a four-year contract
