Centre-back following draw with Chelsea.
Pascal Struijk discussed Saturday’s goalless draw with LUTV, after the match.
The defender was solid throughout alongside Diego Llorente at the heart of the defence, as the Whites kept out the Blues and had chances of their own to win the match.
“We’ll take a point against a very good side like them,” Struijk explained.
“They’ve been on a good run, so it’s good for us to get a point out of this game.
“We had a couple of chances but unfortunately they didn’t go in, but It’s good we can create these chances.
“If we can get a point and we are unlucky not to get three points, it shows we can compete with the best.”
In another new defensive pairing for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, Struijk explained how the communication was important on their way to keeping a clean sheet.
He said: “This season it has been quite different, every other game there is a new centre-half next to me.
“I thought we did well today, our communication was good, we worked it out and got a clean sheet.”
