Luke Ayling has spoken with the media ahead of the Premier League clash with Arsenal on Sunday.

The Whites head to the Emirates in good recent form away from home. The defender was asked comments made about the style of his side, who have been branded as ‘entertaining’ throughout the season. 

“It’s nice, but obviously some games you want to win in a boring 1-0,” Ayling stated.

“Against Crystal Palace I think we showed a different side to us. We went ahead, we settled down into the game and played some nice football. 

“The games that have been out there and end-to-end have been fun to play in, but against Palace was probably even more fun, because we settled down into it and won a good game 2-0.”

Returning to North London on Sunday, Ayling will face the club where he began his footballing career as a youngster - and it is certainly a game he is looking forward to. 

“We played them in the cup last year but it’s the first time I am going back as a Premier League footballer, so it is like a full circle for me,” he explained.

“I was there for 10 years as a kid, then got released at 18. To go back there now as a Premier League footballer with Leeds will be nice, but there’s not that many there that I know! 

“They look like a very good team, they’ve picked up their form from the start of the season.

“They have just had a bad couple of results but they are certainly a good team and will be coming out to try and win, to get back in the top half the table.  

“We know we are going there with a really hard game to play, but we’re going there full of confidence and we are playing well ourselves. 

“Hopefully we can try and get the three points!”
