Jack Harrison: We struggled to break them down

Winger on Brighton defeat.

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison spoke to the media following Saturday’s home defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Whites were looking for a third successive home victory, but Neal Maupay’s goal gave the Seagulls all three points.

Harrison gave his verdict on the loss and the difficulties the Whites had during the match.

“I don’t think we deserved a defeat," said Harrison.

"We have to make the most of these games and we didn't today.

“They defended really well and made it difficult for us to play our usual game.

“We struggled to create chances, fair play to them, they played the game they wanted to play and made it hard for us.

“They had a very compact defence and we struggled to break them down and get in behind them at times.

“I felt like there was a chance coming, I know I had one in the second half which went just past the post and I should have scored that, but I still had the feeling something was going to come, unfortunately for us though, it didn’t.

“Our style of play is usually attacking and creating as many chances as possible and we struggled to do that today, they obviously did their homework and studied how we play.

“It’s something we have to look back on, review it this week and be ready for the next game.”
