Marcelo Bielsa has spoken with the media, following the Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Neal Maupay’s first half goal saw the visitors win the game 1-0. The Leeds United head coach gave his thoughts after the final whistle at Elland Road. 

“I think we defended below our capabilities,” Bielsa explained. 

“We were below our usual level, we only managed to recover the ball close to our own goal. 

“Every time we lost the ball the adaptations took us to the edge of our own area to recover the ball. 

“We were below our usual capabilities, we didn’t attack well or defend well either.

“Even whilst playing below our capabilities, we still could have aspired for a better result.

“The fluidity to attack was not the same in the last two games as what we’ve been used to.”
