Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Wigan Athletic.

The Whites head to the DW Stadium unbeaten in the first three games of the 2019/20 campaign, with victories over Bristol City and Salford City and a draw against Nottingham Forest.

Bielsa gave his reflective opinion on the opening three matches and revealed who would be lining up against the Latics.

“I cannot say the team before the game as a supporter said I was giving away a lot to the opposition, but between you and me it is going to be the same team.

“That we are growing as a team is something we have to show. 

“In the two games that we won, we scored six goals and received 16 chances on goal, but if the opponent had the same efficiency as us in these two games, we wouldn’t have won. 

“In the game we created five times more than the opponent, we didn’t win the game.  

“The analysis is focused on the game that we drew, the other two games were positive matches.

“The game we drew made us feel more comfortable, than in the two games we won.

“In the two games that we won, we are taking a lot of information to grow and improve.”
