Marcelo Bielsa: Pablo is a leader

Head coach on Millwall win.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media following Saturday’s victory against Millwall.

A Luke Ayling header and a brace from Pablo Hernandez ensured the Whites came from behind to defeat Millwall 3-2 at Elland Road.

The win moved Leeds back to second place in the Sky Bet Championship and Bielsa gave his thoughts on the game.”

“With the three chances Millwall created, they scored twice,” said Bielsa.

“They had a high level of efficiency and it was hard for us to change the result, but we changed the result playing with our style.

“We built lots of attacks with the ball and I think we deserved to win.

“Sometimes we spend more time than we should need to get what we deserve, but we never feel we are going to lose, we insist every time to try and change the result with our style.

“Things that you cannot control can happen in a football game.

“Bu when a team has a lot of skill to overcome adversity, it deserves a lot of admiration.”

Bielsa also spoke about the influence of Hernandez on the team.

He said: “Pablo is a leader.

"He is not someone who likes to talk a lot or make behaviour to show this.

“But he usually asks for the ball when it is difficult to receive.

"He tries to take the risks that are usually hard to take for players, he creates a frustration with the link of the nice feeling to be closer to create the chance.

“When we lose the balls at the beginning when we were playing out, the frustration is very clear and he contacts all of the players."

"Pablo is someone that gives a pass which gives the facility to change a normal attack into an attack that will create a chance.

"He is someone that always keeps the feeling we can harm the opponent every time."
