INTERNATIONAL ROUND UP: NOVEMBER 2018

Whites stars feature on the international stage

With a number of Leeds United players representing their countries over the November international break, we take a look at how they got on.

Tyler Roberts (Wales)

Picking up his fourth cap, Tyler Roberts started for Wales in their game against Denmark at the Cardiff City Stadium. With support from Gareth Bale, Tyler played the first 68 minutes of the 2-1 defeat, before being replaced by Harry Wilson.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Stuart Dallas (Northern Ireland)

Bailey Peacock-Farrell played the full 90 minutes of Northern Ireland's friendly against the Republic of Ireland, keeping a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Stuart Dallas also featured for Northern Ireland, playing a full 90 minutes in both the draw with the Republic of Ireland, and the 2-1 defeat at the hand of Austria, where he played at left-back.

Mateusz Klich (Poland)

Having been recalled to the Poland national team this season, Mateusz Klich kept his starting place in both their games against the Czech Republic and Portugal. Playing just behind Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski in a more advanced role, Klich played the full 90 minutes as Poland fell to a 1-0 defeat against the Czech Republic.

The loss would be followed up a few days later with a 1-1 draw with Portugal, as Mateusz played a deeper role, going head-to-head with Real Betis' William Carvalho, before being substituted late on.

Gjanni Alioski (Macedonia)

Gjanni Alioski was on hand for one of Macedonia's two fixtures recently, as they were promoted from Group D of the Nations League. Playing a full 90 minutes against Gibraltar, Alioski's Macedonia won 4-0, whilst enjoying 82% possession, and having 35 shots on goal.

Will Huffer (England U20s)

Goalkeeper Will Huffer was an unused substitute for Paul Simpson's England U20s, as the Young Lions defeated Germany 2-0 in front of a sell out at Colchester.

Jay-Roy Grot (Holland)

Called up to the Dutch U21s for the first time, on-loan striker Jay-Roy Grot was a 62nd minute substitution for Manchester United's Tahith Chong, as Holland fell to a 3-0 defeat to Germany.
