TYLER ROBERTS: IT'S NOT A TIME FOR FRIENDS

TYLER ROBERTS: IT\'S NOT A TIME FOR FRIENDS

We catch up with Tyler Roberts ahead of tomorrow's trip to The Hawthorns to face his former club, West Brom

How are you feeling going back to West Brom?

I'm excited, obviously, it's going to be a bit strange being back at the club that I grew up, but I want to get the win, and I'm hungry to score a goal.

Is there a lot of people behind the scenes from your time?

Yeah, obviously there's still a lot of Academy staff, Darren Moore is the manager who was my U23s manager, so a lot of people I know are still there, it'll be nice to see them, but it's not a time for friends. It's a rivalry.

Do you think about that [rivalry] going into the game, or do you just focus solely on the job and the three points?

I think it's just more about the job and the three points. Obviously the manager is going to want us to do certain things, it's not about being selfish and trying to score, you're trying to help the team get the three points, which is the main thing.

Have you had many ticket requests from friends and family?

I've had a few yeah, and I'm sure there'll be a few watching.

With it being a tough game, two sides at the top of the table, does that make it more of an important game going into it?

Definitely, both teams are going to be eager to get the three points and stay at the top of the league, but I'm positive, and I think the way we have been playing, we'll do that.

As a group of players you've been say that you're just taking it one game at a time, is this no different?

Yeah it's no different, we're all focused on it during the week, we'll get our tactics together, and play as good as we play, and hopefully that'll be enough.
