MARCELO BIELSA: NO FANS HAVE MORE INFLUENCE THAN OURS

Head coach on Millwall trip.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media ahead of Saturday’s trip to Millwall in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Whites head to London looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the league campaign, after four wins and two draws.

Bielsa believes his side know what to expect when they will come up against Millwall on Saturday and also spoke about the notorious atmosphere at The Den.

“It will be a game similar to the match against Middlesbrough, but the difference is that is it is an away game,” said Bielsa.

“It is a team who don’t have the same ranking as Middlesbrough, but they’ve done things in the past which gives them opportunities.

“Millwall are a team who have players who have played at the club for a long time.

“They have a style and we will face similar difficulties that we faced against Middlesbrough

“We know the type of opposition we are going to face and now we have the experience of playing against this.

“I can’t think of any more fans who have any more influence than ours, it is important to us to receive support.

“Ive been doing this job for the past 30 years and I’ve never been affected by the lack of civility from fans.

“The conception of being a man is when you receive aggressivity, you have to multiply your capactity of response.

Bielsa also provided an injury update on his squad ahead of Saturday’s trip.

He said: “Berardi still needs time to come back, Bamford needs a little less than four months, Pablo Hernandez will be out for more than three weeks and Kemar Roofe won’t be able to play either.

“Kemar has received a kick which will not allow him to play in the next fixture so we have four players missing.

“Three of them are offensive players, I have to take this into account, but we have solutions to face these problems.

“Tyler is the first option we have available and we have been working with more than 11 players and now it is time to show the product with what we have done so far.

“If we look back, we didn’t have many injured players, especially in the same positions, so I can’t deny it will be difficult.

“Now we will see how good the work is that we have done in building the group.”
