KEMAR ROOFE: WE ARE BUILDING MOMENTUM

Striker on Rotherham win.

Leeds United forward Kemar Roofe spoke to LUTV following Saturday’s victory over Rotherham United.

The Whites kept up their 100 per cent start to the 2018/19 campaign with a 2-0 Yorkshire derby win at Elland Road.

Roofe netted his third goal in as many league games and is pleased with how the start to the season is going.

“We are doing very well as a team, we are building momentum and a winning momentum as well,” said Roofe.

“It was tough playing against a team who had so many bodies in front of goal, but we stayed patient at times.

“We went in at the break and the gaffer told us where we were going wrong and in the second half we were able to improve that.

“He gave us details on different runs and positions to take up and it obviously worked, because we got the two goals.

“We put in a lot of hard work in pre-season and it is a good thing that it is showing, but we need to get ready for Swansea City now and hopefully put in another performance.

“We’re not getting carried away, our last games don’t mean anything because if we don’t turn up against Swansea, we will lose, it is a completely different game.

“We know these next two away trips are not going to be easy, but hopefully we can get the results."
