New Leeds United loan signing Alfonso Pedraza spoke exclusively to LUTV about joining the club from Villarreal.

Pedraza joined the Whites from the Spanish outfit and was one of two signings made by Garry Monk on transfer deadline day, along with Modou Barrow.

The Spanish under-21 international had been on loan with Segunda División side CD Lugo, but is pleased to have made the switch to Elland Road.

"I'm very thankful for the opportunity to come to such a big and historic club," said Pedraza.

"I need to focus very quickly and I want to play as soon as possible to try and help the team reach the Premier League.

"This move is a step forward for me and my career, when I heard I had the opportunity to come and play for Leeds, I was very happy to accept the proposal as it is such a well known club, even in Spain.

"I think with the way I play, English football will suit me because it is more direct and easier for my style, I am very quick and have a lot of drive.

"The team is in a good moment, we are in a situation where reaching the Premier League is a possibility, so I hope I can add my best, to help the team complete this objective.

"I'm 100% ready, I have trained with the squad and team, as soon as the coach selects me, I will be raring to go."
