$LUFC Fan Token: the FTO® Explained

Working with Socios.com gives the club access to a platform that will allow our fans around the world to engage with the club like never before.
$LUFC is the only official Leeds United Fan Token. It will provide Leeds United fans with a new digital service that is complementary to the club’s existing membership options, giving fans voting rights on club decisions and the opportunity to earn real-life and digital club-related benefits on Socios.com.
Every MyLeeds Member and Season Ticket Holder is entitled to one non-tradeable $LUFC Fan Token for free. Once you have your free Fan Token it’s yours for life. It will never expire and can be used every time to vote and access VIP experiences.
Do I need to pay for it?
All MyLeeds Members and Season Ticket Holders are entitled to one non-tradeable $LUFC Fan Token for free.
We will hold a Fan Token Offering (FTO®) on Wednesday September 1s at 12pm when a fixed number of $LUFC tokens will be available for a fixed price. Fans from around the world will be able to purchase a $LUFC Fan Token for £2.
After that, once the $LUFC Fan Token is listed, more tokens will become available. The price will naturally fluctuate over the course of time in line with supply and demand.
How many times can I use my $LUFC Fan Token?
All you need to take part in every single club poll on Socios.com is just one $LUFC Fan Token. The weight of your vote is defined by the number of Fan Tokens you own. If you own 10 Fan Tokens, your vote will count as 10. However, we’ll cap each poll at a certain number of Fan Tokens to keep things nice and fair!
There’s also lots of great ways to use your Fan Token on Socios.com, including taking part in games, competitions and quizzes linked to the club.
Remember - if you’re a Season Ticket holder or MyLeeds Member, just redeem your free Fan Token.
When and how can I buy $LUFC?
$LUFC Fan Tokens will be available on Socios.com on September 1st at 12pm for £2.
Once one the Socios app you’ll need to buy $CHZ first which is the digital currency of the Socios.com app and is used to buy Fan Tokens. You can purchase $CHZ using your credit card or debit card and then exchange them for $LUFC Fan Tokens. Sorted.
If you have a free $LUFC Fan Token to redeem, simply download the Socios app, redeem the code sent via email and the free Fan Token will appear in your digital wallet within the Socios app.
Fan Tokens: how should they be used?
Fan Tokens are digital assets recognised as utility tokens i.e. digital assets with a use. That use is to allow fans to engage with their favourite teams on Socios.com. Fan Tokens are to keep and continue to use to connect with the club. That is how Fan Tokens should be used and is their intended purpose. Buying and selling Fan Tokens is not the intended purpose.
Your free $LUFC Fan Token cannot be sold, and the FTO is fixed at £2. $LUFC Fan Tokens are not infinite in supply and only a limited number of each Fan Token is minted (created), which will mean that price will naturally fluctuate over the course of time in line with demand.
We strongly advise caution to any individual who chooses to use Fan Tokens for any other reason than their intended purpose. Only spend what you can afford and seek independent advice if required.
Remember, you only need one Fan Token to vote in polls and participate in competitions, and all Season Ticket Holders and all MyLeeds Members will be able to redeem one non-tradeable $LUFC Fan Token for free.
