FA Youth Cup Preview: Sheffield United (A)

Whites in action at Bramall Lane.

Leeds United Under-18s make the short trip to face Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United Under-18s in the FA Youth Cup Fifth Round, with kick off from Bramall Lane at 7pm.

The Whites progressed to the fifth round thanks to an impressive 4-0 win away at Brighton & Hove Albion U18s.

A brace from Max McFadden either side of half-time got the ball rolling for Rob Etherington’s side, before goals from Marley Wilson and Alfie Cresswell completed the rout on the south coast.

Billy Blacker's late deflected strike was enough for Sheffield United to overcome AFC Wimbledon U18s last time out, having edged past Cheltenham Town U18s in the previous round.

Away from cup duties, Leeds sit seventh in the U18 Premier League North standings, picking up five wins and two draws from their 14 matches so far this campaign.

The Blades meanwhile find themselves seventh in the Premier League U18 Professional Development League standings, 12 points adrift of runaway leaders Birmingham City.
