Rory Mahady Named in Scotland U19s Squad

Academy goalkeeper set to link up with the Tartan Army

Billy Stark named his latest Scotland U19s squad this week, with Leeds United Academy goalkeeper Rory Mahady included.

Scotland are set to face Turkey on Tuesday 13th February, before playing against Latvia three days later, with both matches taking place at Stella Maris in Umag.

The friendlies will act as preparation for the UEFA EURO 2024 Elite Round which takes place in March. Scotland qualified for the Elite Round in November, in some style, finishing top of a group that including Serbia, Bulgaria and Andorra, with two wins and a draw. 

Scotland have been drawn alongside Czech Republic, Georgia and Italy in Group 5 and the matches will take place in Italy. 

Mahady has featured 11 times for the U18s this season, most recently in December's FA Youth Cup win over Norwich City.
