Dan O\'Hearne presented with Manager of the Month award

First team coach Carlos Corberan presents award

Leeds United Women’s boss Dan O’Hearne has been named Women’s National Division One Manager of the Month for November.

Hot on the heels of the announcement that Marcelo Bielsa has picked up the same award for the Sky Bet Championship, O'Hearne was presented with his accolade by first team coach Carlos Corberan at Thorp Arch.

The Whites sit in second place in the league standings, six points behind leaders Barnsley and have only lost five games across all competitions so far this season. Leeds are second top scorers in the division having scored 23 goals this season, with only league leaders Barnsley scoring more.

Three wins in the month of November sealed the award for O’Hearne, the first of which came against Stockport County in a 5-3 away victory. They then picked up a 3-0 victory over Yorkshire rivals Bradford City and in the final game they recorded a 4-2 victory over Durham Cestria with Rebecca Hunt's brace coming either side of half-time, before efforts from Bridie Hannon and Millie Kenyon secured the league win for Leeds.

Rebecca Hunt is top of the goalscoring charts for Leeds with 12 goals in 13 appearances across all competitions and she is fourth across the whole league. The forward scored four times during November and will be looking to add to her tally in December. There is a great team spirit and team ethic at the club and O’Hearne is fully deserving of the award.
