Striker Davide Somma has joined League Two club Chesterfield.

Davide has joined the Spireites on loan until January 2.

Davide, who has scored four goals in four reserve appearances this season, will link up with former Leeds United favourite John Sheridan at Saltergate.

The young striker signed for the club at the start of the season and manager Simon Grayson is hoping he will benefit from the chance to play regular first team football.

"Dave's done well since he came in," said the boss.

"He's scored a few in the reserves and he's been around the first team squad.

"Hopefully this will give him an opportunity to be more involved in a first team environment the experience will be good for both Dave and ourselves."
