Dan Voted Boost Player Of The Match Against Hull

Winger shines with halfway line goal in 3-1 win

Leeds United forward Dan James netted his 13th goal of the season on Monday night, as Leeds defeated Hull City 3-1 at Elland Road.

43% of Leeds fans voted him as their Player of the Match against the Tigers as the Welshman won the poll by quite some margin.

James has scored three goals in his last five appearances for the Whites and his goal on Monday was truly something to behold.

With the score at 2-1 and deep into stoppage time, Hull pushed for an equaliser and subsequently sent goalkeeper Ryan Allsop up the pitch in their final attack. After a Joe Rodon block, Piroe then sent James on his way as he struck first time just past the halfway line. The ball flew into the back of the net and pandemonium ensued as Leeds sealed the win in style.

He played a full 90 minutes and continued to cause Hull problems with his blistering pace up and down the pitch.

Leeds fans voted in their numbers after the game, with James winning 43% of the vote, followed by Crysencio Summerville (17%), Sam Byram (14%) and Joe Rodon (11%).
