Willy Gnonto Selected For Latest Italy U21s Squad

Leeds United forward in line to face Latvia and Türkiye

Italy U21s head coach Carmine Nunziata named his latest selection on Friday evening, with Leeds United forward Willy Gnonto included in the 28-man squad.

The Stadio Dino Manuzzi will play host to the Italian U21s first game against Latvia on Friday 22nd March (5:15pm), before the Azzurrini take on Türkiye at the Stadio Paolo Mazza a few days later on Tuesday 26th March (5:15pm).

Both games form part of their EURO 2025 qualification campaign, which currently sees them top their Group with 11 points, followed by the Republic of Ireland, Norway, Latvia, Türkiye and San Marino.

Gnonto has been in electric form for Leeds in 2024, scoring six goals in the last ten games, helping the Whites up into second place in the Championship, with nine games to go.
