Glen Kamara Set To Face Wales In Playoff Clash

Midfielder will join up with Finland during the international break

Finland's head coach Markku Kanerva named his team ahead of March's EURO 2024 Playoffs at a media conference in Helsinki on Wednesday.

Leeds United's Glen Kamara has been included in the 25-man squad, as the Huuhkajat prepare for a clash that pits them against a Welsh side that includes four of the midfielder's teammates, Dan James, Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon and Connor Roberts.

The semi-final will see Finland head over to the Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday 21st March, kicking off at 7:45pm. Should they defeat Wales, Kanerva's side will then face the winner of the other semi-final between Poland and Estonia.

The winner of the final will play in the EURO 2024 tournament this summer in Germany, finding themselves in Group D, where they will face the Netherlands, Austria and France.

Kamara has played 31 times since joining from Rangers in September, formidable partnerships with Ilia Gruev and Ethan Ampadu in the centre of midfield, as the club continues it's push for promotion back to the Premier League.
