The Cheltenham festival  is the Olympics of the National Hunt season and already the anticipation is growing for the four days of racing in March.

To help punters with their selections we’ve joined up with our Official Betting Partner, Sky Bet and are hosting a special preview evening at Elland Road on Wednesday 5 March to help point you in the right direction.

Headlining the panel will be Sky Sports presenter and racing tipster, Alex Hammond who has given us her thoughts on the evening:

“The Cheltenham Festival is the biggest meeting of the racing year – full stop. It’s unrivalled for its drama, tension and atmosphere. It’s where the champions are crowned and legends born.

I can’t wait for it to come around again but before then I’ll be at Elland Road, on March 5 for the Sky Bet Festival Preview Evening.

I’m already working hard on finding the best bets for the four days but it will be great to get help along the way from y fellow panellists who include Racing UK analysts Mark Howard and Niall Hannity and leading Irish journalist and broadcaster Donn McClean.

We’ll be going through the action from Tuesday to Friday – starting with the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle and ending with the Grand Annual Chase.

Are you for or against Hurricane Fly in the Champion Hurdle? Can we trust Sprinter Sacre to bounce back in the Champion Chase? Is Big Buck’s ready to roll back the years and win a fifth World Hurdle and what about Bobs Worth in the Gold Cup? There’s so much to discuss.

This is the only Preview Evening I’ll be attending this year so if you want my selections for Cheltenham, get down to Elland Road on March 5!”
