Midfielder Paul Green is hoping to use his loan spell at Ipswich Town as a springboard for next season.

The Republic of Ireland international, who has joined Ipswich on loan until the end of season, is out of contract in the summer, and he admits his future is likely to lie away from Elland Road.

“I think it’s finished for me at Leeds,” said Paul, who has made 46 appearances for the club since joining from Derby in the summer of 2012. 

“It’s a shame because I loved it there but that’s football.

“The manager (at Ipswich) has said that there may be something here at the end of the season if I play well so it’s a possibility.

“We will have to see how things work out but it would be great if something could be done.”
