Winger on Manchester City draw.
Leeds United winger Ian Poveda spoke to LUTV following Saturday’s match with Manchester City.
Poveda provided a positive contribution from the bench in the second half against his former side, as the Whites earned a 1-1 draw at Elland Road.
The 20-year-old gave his view on the game, his own individual performance and Leeds’ mentality.
“It was a good game, a tough game,” said Poveda.
“The lads were excellent, we gave our all on the pitch and we came away with a point.
“I was really happy to be out there, I feel like my hard work is starting to pay off, but I have to keep pushing, there is a lot more to give.
“The gaffer told me to be confident, get at my player, make runs in behind, bring energy on the pitch and make movements.
“We really gave our all, it was a good shift from the lads and for us there is no limit as to what we can achieve.
“We are looking at every game as it comes and we are trying to aim for the three points.
“It’s a good result because Manchester City are one of the best sides in the world, but we look at every game trying to win it.
“Our start has been good, we’ll get our heads down over the international break, recover a bit and come back to a fresh start with a bang.”
