Marcelo Bielsa: Preston are doing well

Head coach on Preston North End.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media ahead of the Boxing Day clash with Preston North End at Elland Road.

The Whites are looking to get back to winning ways in the division, after suffering a first loss following an 11 game unbeaten run.

Bielsa began by giving an update on team news ahead of the fixture with the LilyWhites.

On Pablo Hernandez, Bielsa said: “One month, it is an injury in his hamstring.

“Tyler Roberts and Jamie Shackleton are available, whilst Barry Douglas is sick.

“We still don’t know when Adam Forshaw will come back.”

“I will play Ezgjan Alioski, with Stuart Dallas moving to the middle of the park.

“Dallas is a dynamic player, he can play on the left or right side without any problems.

“He has good mobility and he appears in the last part of the pitch with a good tempo and surprise.

“He can shoot and finish as well and can cross from the sides and he can defend and attack.

“Tyler and Jamie are healthy but they need time to be competing.”

Bielsa also spoke about opponents Preston, who he had high praise for.

“Preston are doing well, it’s a team that kept its players, just the transfer of number seven (Callum Robinson).

“It’s a team who has had a bad moment and is now recovering and they have a regular way of playing.”
