Winger on York City win.
Leeds United winger Jack Harrison spoke to LUTV following Wednesday’s pre-season victory over York City.
Harrison netted a brace in the victory, as Leeds ran out 5-0 winners at Bootham Crescent.
The match was the first pre-season game ahead of the 2019/20 campaign and Harrison was happy to get minutes under his belt.
“It was nice to get back out there again, it’s been a while, so it’s always good to get on the pitch with the lads and get playing again,” said Harrison.
“It was good to get the game time and game experience, it’s always hard to create a game atmosphere in training, so I think getting out here and being able to play against York, gave us a great opportunity to build chemistry together as a team.
“I was pretty tired towards the end, just trying to build that fitness back up again, but I’m pretty happy with my performance.
“I know there are a lot of things I can work on and I’m going to look back with the coaching staff and see how I can improve going into the season.
“We’ve got a lot of good games coming up before the season starts and another few opportunities to show what we’ve got and build chemistry as a team.
“This is a really important time for us working together as a team and it is going to be crucial to us going forward.”
