Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe spoke to the media ahead of Good Friday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Wigan Athletic.

The Whites currently occupy the all important second automatic promotion spot in the division and could gain further ground with a positive result against the Latics.

Roofe admitted the last month has been tough for him personally, but is pleased with where the Whites currently find themselves placed.

“It was very frustrating being injured and not being able to help the team fight for every point.

“I’ve enjoyed watching the boys play, seeing a different view in the stand and it has been a chance to learn as well.

“We’re in the perfect position, it is in our hands and it is up to us if we get promoted or not.

“If we win all of our games, we are promoted, it is simple as that.

“There are no easy games in this league though and it has been shown this season.

“Against Queens Park Rangers for example, I don’t think anybody expected us to lose, but we did and we had to bounce back in the next match.

“We work hard in training and we have the belief though from what we have done throughout the season.

“It is amazing playing at Elland Road, especially when you walk out of the tunnel and see everybody waving scarves, it is special.”
