INTERNATIONAL: SEPTEMBER 2018 CALL-UPS

Whites stars to feature on international stage.

A number of Leeds United players have been selected for international duty, with games set to take place this weekend.

Goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell and winger Stuart Dallas have linked up with Northern Ireland.  Michael O’Neill’s side take on Bosnia & Herzegovina on Saturday 8th September (14:00 BST) in the UEFA Nations League, before entertaining Israel in a friendly Tuesday 11th September (19:45 BST), with both games at Windsor Park.

Mateusz Klich has been called up by Poland after an impressive start to the campaign.  They face Italy away in the UEFA Nations League on Friday 7th September (19:45 BST), before taking on the Republic of Ireland in a friendly at home on Tuesday 11th September (19:45 BST).

Ryan Giggs has named Leeds forward Tyler Roberts in his Wales squad.  Wales face the Republic of Ireland at Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday 6th September (19:45 BST), before travelling to Denmark on Sunday 9th September (17:00 BST), with both matches in the UEFA Nations League.

Pontus Jansson has been called up for Sweden for their two matches.  Sweden have an away friendly in Austria on Thursday 6th September (19:45 BST), before taking on Turkey on Monday 10th September (19:45 BST) at home in the UEFA Nations League.

Macedonia have called on the services of Ezgjan Alioski for their matches against Gibraltar and Armenia.  Both matches take place in the UEFA Nations League, with Macedonia playing away against Gibraltar on Thursday 6th September (19:45 BST), before a home game against Armenia on Sunday 9th September (17:00 BST)

Will Huffer and Tom Pearce have joined England’s Under-20s.  They have a home game against Switzerland on Thursday 6th September, before an away trip against the Netherlands on Monday 10th September.

Conor Shaughnessy has linked up with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s.  Shaughnessy will be hoping to feature when they play Kosovo on Friday 7th September and Germany on Tuesday 11th September.

Youngsters Aapo Halme, Alfie McCalmont and Kun Temenuzhkov have all been selected for international duty, linking up with Finland Under-21s, Northern Ireland Under-19s and Bulgaria Under-19s respectively.
