MARCELO BIELSA: IT IS TOO EARLY TO MAKE CONCLUSIONS

Head coach on Derby County win.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the press following Saturday’s win over Derby County.

The Whites recorded back to back victories in the Sky Bet Championship with an impressive 4-1 rout of Frank Lampard’s side.

Despite the impressive start Leeds have made, Bielsa has played the results down, insisting nothing is won in August.

“The performance of the team was better against Derby, than it was against Stoke City,” said Bielsa.

“But because of what has happened in the games so far, it doesn't mean mean we are in with a definite chance (of doing well), it is too early to make conclusions.

“In each game we will have to prove ourselves again, this is a competition where you have to show regularity, so you have to bear this in mind.

“The fans are the most important thing in what we produce, if they are happy, we are even more happy.

“It was less difficult for us to play balls for us to attack and the performance of some of our offensive players lasted longer.

“In the first half we had some moments of instability, which could have allowed Derby County to score goals, so we could point out this aspect as one to correct.

“If you see the ranking after 23 games and then after 46 games, you will see differences, so any premature analysis isn’t convenient.”
