PAUL HECKINGBOTTOM: WE WANT TO GIVE THE FANS A GOOD SEND OFF

Head coach on QPR.

Leeds United head coach Paul Heckingbottom spoke to the press ahead of Sunday’s game with Queens Park Rangers.

The Whites are looking for back to back wins at Elland Road when they take on Ian Holloway’s R’s.

Heckingbottom is hopeful his side can give the supporters something to smile about with a positive result in the final match of the campaign.

“Winning at any time is important, but this is the last game of the season at home and we want to give the fans a good send off,” said Heckingbottom.

“QPR are a high energy team and compete for everything, so the dynamic of the game will be a lot different to what it was against Norwich City last week.

“The squad is pretty much as it is, we may look at certain things for next season because it is the last game, but there will not be wholesale changes

“Everyone has an opportunity, the squad won’t look too much different to what it has been.

“Luke Ayling has done great, he has trained really well for two weeks and he is in a really good place.

“Vurnon Anita and Conor Shaughnessy went in for surgery earlier in the week, so they are going to have to rehab really well over the summer in order to be right for next season.”
