MODOU BARROW: THIS IS A MASSIVE CLUB

Winger on joining United.

New Leeds United winger Modou Barrow spoke exclusively to LUTV after completing a late transfer deadline day loan move from Swansea City.

The 24-year-old has joined the club on a temporary deal until the end of the season and re-united with Leeds head coach Garry Monk, with the pair having worked together at the Swans.

Barrow, who will wear the number 27 shirt for United, spoke of his excitement at completing the move and can't wait to get started with the Whites.

He said: "I'm really happy to be here,  I'm very pleased to finally get things done and be a Leeds player because this is a massive club.

"Everyone knows Leeds United, even back in my home of Gambia, people know the club.

"I knew of interest from Leeds in the summer and I was willing to come and help the team, but unfortunately it didn't happen, but now I am finally here, I am ready to push on and go.

"It was a simple decision when I heard about Leeds, I have worked under Garry Monk before and he is a very good manager, he is good to work with and knows me as a player.

"Seeing the crowds on television and in person, you can see how much of a massive club this is and there is no chance I could turn it down.

"They travel to the away games in huge numbers and the way they support the team at home really excites me, hopefully we can push on and get to where we want to be.

"Being at the Blackburn game was amazing, especially the scenes at the end and I was buzzing the team managed to get the win.

"Obviously I have come here to play, I will give 100% on the pitch for the boys, fight until the end and try and give everything I have."
