The Chief Meets The Kaiser Chiefs

Up and coming Leeds band Kaiser Chiefs scored a hit when the real 'chief', United's Lucas Radebe, popped up to help promote their debut single.

Lucas was only too pleased to help the band's publicity campaign, especially as there is an obvious link between Radebe's former club in South Africa, Kaizer Chiefs, and the band's name.

The single, Oh My God, is released today and the video for it was played at Elland Road during the half time break against Charlton.

Kaiser Chiefs are Andrew, Nick, Ricky, Nick and Simon and all are self-confessed Whites fans. In the pipeline is a new song for Leeds they are keen to have a go at.

They said: "We're talking about it and starting to get ideas together but we haven't made much progress on it. we've been on tour and not had much chance to work on it, but it is definitely something we're hoping to do."

Kaiser Chiefs will be appearing at a number of festivals this summer, and hope to play at both the Leeds and Reading Festivals.
