Foundation raise funds for Children\'s Heart Surgery Fund

Leeds United Foundation donate £1,500 to Children's Heart Surgery Fund during special event.

The Leeds United Foundation held a special event recently where they presented Children's Heart Surgery Fund with a cheque for £1,500.

The club's official charity raised the funds through the annual Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, with a number of people taking part in the fundraising initiative in May 2019.

The money raised on the day has been split between the Foundation and the club's charity partner for the 2018/19 season, Children's Heart Surgery Fund.

Leeds United goalkeeper Will Huffer was on hand at the event, which was held at Outlon Hall, to present the cheque to Lisa Williams, the Senior Community Fundraising Manager at Children's Heart Surgery Fund.

The event was held to give a collect group of people an insight into the Leeds United Foundation, the programmes they are delivering everyday across Leeds and the goals they would like to achieve in terms of growth and expansion as a charity.

Special guests included the Leeds United CEO, Angus Kinnear, who was in attendance to speak about the relationship between the club and Foundation and Luke Ayling joined Will Huffer in presenting prizes to those in attendance.
