MATCH DEDICATED TO CHARITY OF THE YEAR

MATCH DEDICATED TO CHARITY OF THE YEAR

QPR fixture assigned to Children's Heart Surgery Fund.

Today’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Queens Park Rangers is dedicated to Leeds United’s Charity of the Year, Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF).

The local charity supports children and adults born with congenital heart disease across all of Yorkshire and they work closely with the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit at Leeds General Infirmary.

The partnership with CHSF will hopefully raise vital funds throughout the 2018/19 season to help save the lives of young heart heroes who need life-saving surgery, support their families through the most difficult times and celebrate their recoveries and bravery.

The funds raised will specifically provide life-saving equipment including; Super Life-Support Machines and a new Dialysis Machine for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Leeds General Infirmary. Whilst other money raised will go towards helping to refurbish the CHSF family unit provision at the local hospital – this currently consists of seven bedrooms, a kitchen and lounge area.

As part of the activity at Elland Road this afternoon there will be volunteers carrying out a bucket collection outside the ground – fans can also donate online to the campaign at justgiving.com/all-leeds-all-heart or by texting LUFC19 followed by the amount you’d like to donate to 70070.

There will also be five mascots helping to lead the Leeds United team out of the tunnel ahead of kick-off – all of these children have been affected by congenital heart disease and in-turn have been supported by Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.

The charity is funded solely by generous donations from the general public so they are only able to help because of support like yours, any donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you to the Leeds United fanbase for your support with the campaign so far.
