Sites are operated at Temple Green and Stourton with the service starting two-and-a-half hours before kick-off.

Driving for change: What can sport do to help?

  • It is estimated that the global football industry produces more than 30 million tonnes of carbon dioxide every year, which is about the same size as the total emissions of Denmark
  • A quick glance at the above numbers shows the massive difference in the impact of sports at a grassroots and global level
  • While the sport industry in general is working towards improvement in the green transition, some organisations are now progressively trying to reconstruct their business model to be more sustainable. Leeds United and Hunters coaches are working together in this approach
  • The Park & Ride service is reducing over 150 cars travelling to the ground each match, which is a significant reduction in the carbon footprint
  • Replacing car journeys with public transport can help reduce CO2 emissions by 42% if using the bus
