An exciting job opportunity has arisen at Leeds United FC for some Apprentice Chefs in our Kitchens based at our stunning Elland Road Stadium.
Leeds United Football Club is an English professional football club based in the city of Leeds, West Yorkshire and play at our fabulous stadium based on Elland Road, which has been the home of Leeds United since 1919 and remains one of English football's great theatres and is 'the only place for us' ever since. The ideal candidate will assist the main chefs with simple tasks. You need to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the kitchen. And you will perform a variety of tasks under general supervision.
Some of the main duties would include:
Prepare ingredients while supporting the kitchen brigade
Prepare, cook and present food to company specification
Prepare and present food to the highest standards
Responsible for cleaning down and refreshing your work stations, washing up, and preparation areas
Learn how our kitchens adhere to the highest of standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and health and safety.
Work safely around kitchen equipment and monitor and deal with any maintenance issues
Work closing with senior Chefs in preparation of menus
Keep up to date with new products, menus and promotions
Be involved and contribute at all team meetings
Be passionate in delivering excellent food
Carry out instructions as given by senior member of the kitchen brigade
Assist in receipt, storage, and stock control of all food supplies
Check quality, taste and texture of food being produced
Receive, record and monitor food deliveries for quality, quantity and temperature
Attend and complete all education learning and development training as required to complete the apprenticeship programme
The ideal candidate will also have:
Be passionate and knowledgeable about food
Have basic culinary skills such as knife skills
Have knowledge of different ingredients, cooking equipment and procedures
