MATCHDAY MEDICAL PROVISION

MATCHDAY MEDICAL PROVISION

Information from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service...

In partnership, Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust and Leeds United Football Club have a duty of care to provide a basic level of medical provision on matchdays. This facility is available in both the Lower East Stand and the North/West corner of the ground.

We make every effort to ensure your safety and wellbeing which is a priority for both the club and our service and in the event you may require medical intervention we want to ensure everyone receives the right treatment every time, first time.

Matchday medical provision is available to each and every supporter and staff member visiting the ground. Each of the two units is designed to manage short-term conditions such as slips, trips, and falls and more serious medical emergencies such as acute onset of chest pain, breathing difficulties, allergic reactions etc.

If required we want to give our supporters every opportunity of receiving the best possible care and we need your help to achieve this by ensuring that matchday facilities are available for those who need them. If you feel unwell, you can seek advice in the following ways:

If you are suffering from a common health problem which does not require being seen by a nurse or doctor, visit your local pharmacist who can provide advice on illnesses and medicines you need to treat them.

If you have a prolonged illness or injury, then in the first instance we recommend you seek medical advice through your own GP Practice which provides a range of services by appointment including medical advice, examinations and prescriptions.

When you need urgent medical help but it is not an emergency, contact NHS 111 which is a new service providing confidential health advice and information over the phone 24 hours a day.

Alternatively, for conditions which do not require a visit to A&E, you can see a nurse or GP for medical treatment and advice at the local Minor Injury Unit located on St Georges Road, Middleton, Leeds LS10 4UZ.
